Tank Hunting with baked bean tin bombs

The tank recently aquired from Wharton Park Garrison by the Chester Le Street Old Pals platoon attempts to cross the table to reach home.   It's a weird 1938 version of "the Gauntlet."

The tank is a magnificent WW1 vintage rust bucket, unarmed and of limited speed and mechanical reliability.  It faced the fury of a newly raised platoon of Communists...

The Rust Bucket advances.

A good turn of speed for a vehicle moving at 1d6

The Communists occupy the woods and spread thier paperwork out on the baseline.

WW1 tactics as the Pals advance behind the tank.
Impressive to see...

The tank rolls into a baked bean tin bomb ambush,
That is less than successful....

The Communists try desperate measures to stop that tank,
including an ill advised attempt to blow up some milk tanks.
As night fell we can only assume that the tank reached the far edge
of the table, having successfully run the Gauntlet...

This looked like a game I would have enjoyed playing!  I wish I had seen more of it, but didn`t want to waste these great pictures.

  1. Cool looking game! Thanks for posting!
Maybe the Commies should have taken the baked beans out of tins and put some explosives in them 😊...
